The Royal Academy of Dance Certification Program

The Royal Academy of Dance Certification Program

As of the 2019-2020 academic year, we have started to run the Royal Academy of Dance Certification Program at Tan Sağtürk Academy, in addition to our own curriculum.

The Royal Academy of Dance Certification Program is a certification program for ballet students of all ages that is recognized in 85 countries and has 13,000 members across the world. Graduates of this certification program can work as a ballet instructor in any country covered by the Royal Academy organization. Moreover, it enriches our students’ portfolios in their applications to numerous universities and serves as a true asset for admission.

Participation in the Royal Academy certification program does not require enrolment in the 1st level. Since the early level training sessions have a similar content to our curriculum at Tan Sağtürk Academy, we have integrated the exam program into our curriculum as of the 7th technical grade. The program is run in our schools by Zeynep Taner*, the Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teacher. Students attend the training sessions of our class instructors as well as those of Zeynep Taner

There is no upper age limit for participating the Royal Academy of Dance certification program. Our adult ballet students can progress in the program by preparing for the exams.

In order to become a Royal Academy certified ballet instructor, it is necessary to attend the “Royal Academy Registered Teacher” training program. The prerequisite for participating in this program is to have an Intermediate certificate.

This new training system allows the graduates of Tan Sağtürk Academy to become ballet instructors both certified by the Ministry of National Education and the internationally-recognized Royal Academy of Dance.
