Creative drama is a tool to develop and reinforce a student’s character.
Our Creative Drama classes take place once a week in one-hour sessions.
Children: Creative drama is a “personal development” education involving practice in all fields of art, especially theater. It is an important means for children and the youth to improve their innate creativity that lies fallow due to changing conditions in their lives.
Tapping into the class activities, children learn about numerous experiences through which they re-arrange their own experiences. It is a dynamic and creative environment where children study with pleasure. Engaging in drama activities, the child uses his/her creativity and body, while communicating both verbally and non-verbally, and thus acting more comfortably and confidently in social life.
Adults: Creative drama is a class that combines acting and motion exercises. It involves comforting the body and mind, concentration, confidence, group energy, empathy, use of body language, sensual and emotional awareness, and effective use of imagination and creativity.
An atmosphere that fosters trust and warmth is created throughout the workshop. In addition to written and verbal ways of self-expression, particular focus is placed upon kinesthetic layers associated with body/motion. The workshop also focuses on helping each participant discover their own style of expression and unlock their potential.
